top 5 yummy foods/snacks

#1  guess what #1 is? yes my favorite, YOGURT! see even other people agree yogurt is yummy and healthy. now you can choose whatever flavor you would like. and no it doesn't have to be a parfait just regular yogurt will do it also. there are soo many types of yogurt out there, so many different flavors and add on's and more. now yes there are some that are considered less healthy, like the Oreo crumble vs. just a vanilla or regular yogurt. both are good but one can be considered a little more healthy for you. which is understandable. i mean if Oreo's where healthy we would be in luck ( why cant they be healthy). but if you really want the Oreo crumble than go for it. it is still amazingly yummy. and hey why not try new ones every time you go to get more. you see one that sounds interesting yet you've never tried it? go for it. 




#2 Raisins. now i'm not the biggest fan of raisins, but i am aware that they are good for you. i loveeeee grapes, and some times i eat raisins ( if they are yogurt covered) , and hey doing both is even better than one. i know allot of people who dislike raisins and i know allot of people who love them and cant understand why more people don't eat them. buts its each to there own. you love raisins? yay you are eating one more healthy thing than i am. you hate raisins? well as long as you make up for it elsewhere i still love you. another note is that there are many different types of raisins ( i have already mentioned the yogurt covered ones) so maybe you don't like one flavor, try another kind maybe you will absolutely love it. who knows. you'll never know unless you try. 





#3 beans. i think most of us know that beans are good for us. and there are so many different kinds out there. now most little kids will tell you not to eat to many because you will fart allot ( or at least my sister does all the time) now you don't have to eat just beans alone. i make bean burritos with tomatoes and other healthy items so i'm eating other healthy ingredients at the same time. i also do a stir fry with green beans because my sister loves stir fry and i can get her to eat healthy at the same time. and she doesn't even complain about the healthy veggies that i put in there. so im cooking great food and eating healthy! go me.

have you ever just been so down that maybe you thought starving yourself would help. i have went down that road many times. and trust me its not the way to go. i haven looked at myself in the mirror and hated what i saw, so i thought maybe if i just deny myself food sometimes that i could lose a few pounds, yes i lost weight but it sucked, my stomach hurt so bad, i was always hungry. have you ever went somewhere and all of a sudden your stomach makes horribly loud i'm hungry sounds. well that's now what my stomach did every where i went.




have you ever not eaten for a while then you get to that point that you literally want to eat everything in site? yeah that's what happened to me, so not was i harming my body, i got to the point where i was eating more than i normally did even when i was eating normal. sometimes i still think about it, i know i shouldn't, but it gets so hard, i eat very healthy ( until i eat cupcakes in class ). i exercise, and yet i still look at myself and absolutely hate what i see, i talk about it with no one, because i don't want to hear what they have to say.

fruit yogurt and granola



In my first post i talked a little about my love for fruit yogurt and granola also known as a parfait. well i want to talk about it more. its healthy and VERY yummy, another reason is because all the ingredients in a parfait are cheaper than most, which is awesome because i go to school work two jobs and support people. i need cheap.  


A parfait is also very easy to make, you get a yogurt you like, it doesn't even need to be plain you can get a flavored one if that's better for you. i have tried different recipes from different people and i'm just a big fan or vanilla yogurt strawberries and  some granola on top. i have seen simple and i have seen crazy. i love trying new ideas it helps when its cheap to do so. 




you can do simple by the ingredients i just listed or you can go big like some people that i know. one thing about a parfait is that even a little bit will fill you up quite easily. there are many healthy filling components to a parfait, you have the yogurt which is healthy, even if you do go with a flavored one like strawberry, it is still better than lets say a pack of Oreo's.  then you have the fruit, which people are always saying to eat more fruit, which in a parfait you can get plenty of fruit, you can go with allot, or a little if your not a fruit fan. than lastly (if that's all your putting in it) you have the granola which is good for you and veryy yummy, all this together you have very nice snack and still be healthy, its a snack you can feel good about eating. 



there are some parfaits that honestly sound interesting, like pineapple, or almonds. i am not saying it wouldn't be good its just something that is interesting and on my list of parfaits to try. i am not a big fan of many nuts, especially almonds ( granted i ABSOLUTELY love almond joy.. ) but maybe ill try it one day ( veryy far in the future.. i live granola) bananas is another one that i am surprised i haven't thought of trying, which i loveeee bananas and i love parfaits.. so i might have to go and buy the stuff and have a strawberry and banana parfait.  
I've usually end up going back to vanilla yogurt just because for a parfait i think its best , and if i am not eating a parfait i love other flavors. 


i would really like to try this parfait cake. i think that would be sooo cool to do not only for the people in my house but if i were going to a party where everyone brought food i could try this out and see how they like it, no one in my family has brought this yet so i think it would be something awesome to try.

being at home vs. your friends house

                


being on a diet at home is very easy, right? because then you and only you control whats in your fridge and your what goes into your mouth. ( okay maybe not totally control at all times, we do have those moments in the store where we buy those cookies on sale, and a cake, and muffins) but most of the time just the good healthy stuff!

i'm not saying i'm always good, i can be very bad when it comes to food, for instance when a friend comes over for movie night, we don't sit there and eat veggies! we eat popcorn and chocolate and we order pizza, we do all the things that i normally wouldn't eat when i'm home alone. i try to stay good, but sweets and junk are the death of me! VEGGIES TO THE RESCUE, or at least i hope. i wish i had self control ( sometimes! )







now going to my friends might be even worse, so most of my friends don't do the whole healthy thing so for them its unhealthy all the time for them not just when friends come over. so when i go over there its every thing i try to stay away from. which is bad because when i go to friends houses i'm pretty much screwing up my whole week. do they care? no! can i just drop them all as friends? yes i can but i don't want to a friendless celery eater.. all alone and instead of cats ill have a family of fruit and veggies.



have you noticed when your the one buying things its much easier to say no to things that are very unhealthy for you. yet when a friend or someone else offers you unhealthy stuff you usually end up saying yes. and even when you say no they keep asking and keep asking until you say yes, and if they accept that you say no then they basically just flaunt  while they are stuffing their face in front of you until you basically have to steal it from their hands and shove it down your own throat before they can say anything. LETS REBEL!

Have you ever just been sitting there bored and suddenly you want 2 mcChickens and some ice cream? i know i have been there, (many many times) i use to just give in all the time to these urges, i never knew how to stop myself. then i talked to my friend about it and she said when she gets an urge she just goes and try's on her goal jeans and when they dint fit she realizes she cant have those nasty things. woo i know i need help!!





Now at first i laughed, how can trying on jeans that you know aren't going to fit help you not want to eat? i actually thought it would have the opposite effect, you go to try them on realize how far away you are from your goal then you go and eat a whole store!! (HAHA).  at least that's what i though would happen. she really wanted me to try this so i told her i would. i know i am tired of not fitting them!!

Asthma And Over Eating



Many people are under the assumption that you get asthma because you over eat, that is a myth!. yes you can get breathing issues from over eating and being over weight. but no the cause of asthma is not over eating. i have had asthma my entire life, and no i was not a fat baby! i was a preemie, asthma is a long term chronic lung condition  that will never be cured not because you decided to stuff your face. 





It really upsets me when people say that i have asthma because i'm fat, yes i'm big but no that is not why i have breathing issues. i have every inhaler you can imagine and its always been that way, and no i haven't always been big, i think i might actually slap someone next time they say that to me. 








There are big people who have asthma and then there are big people who don't have asthma there are people who are small and have asthma. knowledge is what people need. This doesn't cause asthma! over eating is not good over course, but over eating will not cause you to suddenly come down with asthma, you may get temporary breathing issues and you may get a temporary inhaler but you will be okay, just stop eating to much and its okay.!!!!!!
